Discover Byblos Art Hotel: A Spa Retreat Near Verona

After ‘doing’ Verona very well, we decided we wanted a day off and went in search of a hotel with pool and spa for some r&r. What a find we made and all I can say is WOW! The photos speak for themselves, a unique space in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, yet only 20 min drive from Verona centre, so a good base to visit Verona if you want pool and relaxation as well as a city experience. Byblos Art Hotel, Villa Amista. We didn’t stay here so can’t comment on the rooms but click the link and see where it takes you!

The long driveway gives you a hint of what to expect inside. It really was a feast for the eyes and an attack on the visual senses. Just spectacular. The hotel itself seemed quiet, but I think that’s because people were out and about, as the hotel we stayed in in Verona was also very quiet.

Every room or space you walked through had something different. It takes a while to get to the pool as you need to keep stopping to see what’s there!

The gardens are stunning with a beautiful arched walkway to the pool. We based ourselves there and took it in turns to experience the spa/massage which was the best massage my other half has ever had apparently!!

Drinks and food weren’t cheap so a light lunch and only one alcoholic beverage each was enjoyed! Definitely recommended for a romantic getaway, long weekend away, spa time with a girlfriend (need to be quite flush with the cash) or a luxury treat for anyone that needs one.
