This brief snippet was from years ago and never published. I would still definitely go back here.
One of the nicest laid back Caribbean Islands in my opinion, apart from on New Year’s Eve at the beach party!
Close enough to the equator (I think!) to be a steady 28 degrees most days, with a nice wind to keep you cool. The nicest, softest white sand and clear turquoise water, not a rock or stone in sight. A real melting pot of people, and hardly any English (always a bonus!).
Depends what you want from a holiday. We stayed at the Hilton Aruba, a good sized hotel, not too huge, with every facility you could wish for, including a Casino, which we didn’t set foot in, and Miraval Rose wine, not a facility, but a necessity in my book!.
Diving, water sports and activities. Beach bars, restaurants, piers, shops, bars, high end hotels and eateries as well as other places for all budgets. The nicest people, and a fun island, more for those who want to chill and do very little than those who want to see things.
